Throughout the school year I will be assigning different journal assignments at the beginning of each week for
the students to complete and return to me on Friday. In my class each student will learn about reading, writing, mathematics,
science, and social studies. These journal assignments assigned each week will have to do with one of these five topics.

Helpful things parents can help out with this week.
* Take your child to the store to get a good look at a globe if you don't
have one at home.
* Make sure your child is not researching maps and places they on
the internet without you helping them out.
* Only stay on the web with your child for 30 minutes.
* Not all the research should be done online, try and find things
in textbooks, and other useful places for information.

This Week's Assignment
This weeks assignment is to understand the globe, maps, our location on both,
and to find a place on the globe that you would like to visit, ask your parents to help you find information about the
place you would like to visit and tell me about it.
